This is a story about how Andy Adams of Nashville, TN ended up with a very presentable TR4 that gets it’s share of compliments from all sorts of people.
The car arrived in very good shape mechanically and was decent  in appearance.   But there were some dents and the interior was old and showing its age.  The seat cover material was easily torn and the seat springs were shot.
The next few pages show how the car looked upon arrival, the painting process, and how the car looked at the 2006 NBCC car show with a new paint job, dents repaired, and a new interior.
The last page shows the TR4 on the Nashville Super Speedway at the 2006 Minnie Challenge.
After having owned a Big Healey while in college, Andy always looked longingly at British sports cars.  Susie, his wife, took notes and conspired with his brother, Ed, out in California, to look for a good, solid, reasonably priced car.  Ed found a one owner, 1962 TR4 that had been garaged in Modesto for a long time.  The car needed some mechanical work that Ed did and then he shipped it east.   Andy was surprised with the car and proceeded to work on the car’s appearance.   What follow is a pictorial representation of refurbishing that TR4 on a shoestring budget.
If you are ever in Nashville, look for Andy driving his TR on errands and honey-do’s all over town.
