Join us for a drive to Lynchburg for lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's. We will leave from the Kangaroo Station at the intersection of Hiways 96 and 31A in Triune at 10 am so be there by 9:45. Miss Mary BoB’s House is a unique experience as it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally built in 1867 over a natural spring and was used as a traveler’s hotel. Miss Mary ran the boarding house/restaurant until her death in 1983 just shy of her 102nd birthday. Today, Lynne Tolley, the great-grandniece of Mr. Jack & Miss Mary continue the long tradition of Southern hospitality. Lunch is served family style and includes many of Miss Bobo’s more popular recipes. The menu varies daily but always includes generous helping of favorites like country ham, chicken, beef, 6 vegetables, breads/pastry, and of course DESSERT (most of the time HOMEMADE COBBLER)! Pricing, which includes Beverage but not Gratuity, is $20.81 per person. We need your firm commitment and meal fees by Monday June 15th, which can be mailed to Debbie & Terry Carmichael Directions and meeting points for the “ride” to Lynchburg will be sent to all attendees by e-mail and will be posted to the NBCC web-site.
